  New Operating System My computer took a dive the other day. =( It started making some weird noises (the fan I think). So, I got another one (a bit of a newer model… I use a Surface Pro tablet). I got the new one delivered today (Thx Amazon)… And now I’m getting that one all figured out. A little bit of a pain, but not horrible. I got it in a nick of time too. My old one is still working, but the noise is getting worse and worse. I’ll try to get it in to get fixed… If it is worth fixing.   In yoga class a while back, Behnje, my longtime friend & instructor was talking about this concept about being Unstoppable, but probably not in the way most people might think. Her version of being Unstoppable was really like the was we use the term, “Keep Going.” Being unstoppable in this context is about being persistent, flexible, determined, committed to Keep Going in our practice and in our Lives. (In anything you want to do really). Don’t give up so easy, but be flexible on how you get there and how it may look. If you keep going long enough, what got you here, won’t be the same thing that gets you to where ever ‘there’ is. There are plenty of things that will try to stop you. As you know Life has its ways!   The New Jersey beach was silent as I warmed up with the the Camden County police officers in preparation for Lt. Col.  (Ret)  Joe “Marine’s” infamous partner combat conditioning course. The day was September, 11 th     2015, the anniversary of a dark day. A day that most professional protectors are especially respectful of. A day that we hope is never repeated. . I can think of many good ways to commemorate 9/11: Showing respect for those fallen; extending condolences to loved ones of the victims; giving thanks to the protectors who are now on duty and of course, training to be a better protector.   I woke up this morning with a strange feeling in my heart and gut. Feelings that I really didn’t expect. The Charlie Kirk assassination - 9/11 anniversary - Colorado School Shooting - a refugee’s senselessly murder on a train… It all just hit me in a profound way when I woke up this morning. I agree with a lot of what he had to say, however, I often found him to be a bit too religious, sometimes polarizing and in your face for my taste. His name is of course Andrew Jackson i.e., Old Hickory, the 7th president of the United States.   There is a long list of lessons to learn about success, strategy and tactics by studying the life of this man who was so popular with his fans that two thousand of them once stormed the White House just to be around him after his inauguration. The rooms were packed so tightly that day, they couldn't even leave except by going out windows.
