Where Eagles Fly

Image
Did you know that an eagle can foresee when a storm is approaching long before it breaks? Instead of hiding, the eagle will fly to some high point and wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind can pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle soars above it. The eagle does not escape or hide from the storm; instead, it uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the stormy winds which others dread. When the storm of life or challenges hits us, we can rise above them and soar like the eagle that rides the storm’s winds. Don’t be afraid of the storms or the challenges in your life. Use it to lift you higher in your life. More?! Want to learn my unique approach to protecting yourself better?! This Little Trick Kept This Dude Outta Jail!

Image
I don't know what made me think of it, but... A while back, I ran into a guy who thanked me for keeping him out of jail. Turns out he got so angry when he discovered his young daughter and her slightly older boyfriend (still a minor though) fooling around.  Dad walked in on them doing things they shouldn't have been at their age.  It took good ol' dad off guard. So much so that understandably, he wanted to wipe the guy off the face of the earth.  Before acting on his feelings, he took a breath and started doing one of our tactical grounding exercises he learned from me here in PeaceWalker. He said that he went into the room and when he made his presence known, they scrambled to get 'decent'.  He told them both that he wanted to talk with them.  "Get cleaned up, we're going to have a little talk."  He told them both, before stepping out to regroup. He said he had to walk around a bit more to calm down. Along with some of the tactical breathing exercises

Is This What They're Really Looking For?

Image
I'm sitting here in my living room, in front of the fire listening to The Police's Ghost in the Machine album.  I just got finished watching a recently posted Youtube video of the Mayor of Kiev, Ukraine talk as the Russian army descends on his city to destroy, occupy and take over control of his country's capitol.  Life is surreal... We see things happen in real time now like never before.  Things from all over the world.  What used to feel distant or abstract, now overwhelms our senses and assaults our emotions on a regular basis.  It is good to be informed, but we are now overloaded with so much information in all areas, it is difficult for many to process it all.  Especially these past couple years... Years of crisis, division and conflict.  Not that those things haven't been there before, they were just really brought out to the forefront of our consciousness due to the state of things. IMPACT! There is a lot of power that comes with information... But that power

The Signing of the Declaration of Independence by H. A. Guerber

Image
John Hancock, President of Congress, was the first to sign the Declaration of Independence, writing his name in large, plain letters, and saying: "There! John Bull can read my name without spectacles. Now let him double the price on my head, for this is my defiance." Then he turned to the other members, and solemnly declared: "We must be unanimous. There must be no pulling different ways. We must all hang together." "Yes," said Franklin, quaintly, "we must all hang together, or most assuredly we shall all hang separately." We are told that Charles Carroll, thinking that his writing looked shaky, added the words, "of Carrollton," so that the king should not be able to make any mistake as to whose name stood there. by H. A. Guerber Of course, I didn't write this one, but if you WANT MORE from me then...
