Power of the Pause

Image
In training, we’re often taught to move, respond, act. But anyone who’s spent real time on the mat knows this truth: Sometimes the most powerful move is a pause. A pause sharpens awareness. It creates space between stimulus and response. It keeps you from reacting when presence is what’s required. The same is true in conflict. A pause can de-escalate what force never could. It allows emotions to settle, options to appear, and better decisions to emerge. Many conflicts don’t need more intensity — they need more clarity. I appreciate you more than I can say. Keep going, ~Craig
