Gimme Three Steps

You know I'm getting ready to release my Essential Pistol Disarm Course, so I've been sharing some stories with my Private PeaceWalker Members. Most are personal stories from my Life. Some of them I haven't told anyone let alone written down. From stories of my mentors to run ins that I've survived over the years. Many of those experiences taught me principles and lessons that I continue to Live and teach today.

.

Those experiences have really made my training more impactful. It's one thing hearing some concepts and practice in a safe gym environment, it's another thing all together, applying those principles in real time, when the stakes are much higher.

.

Experience is the hardest teacher. As an old parable says, Life gives you the test first and the lessons after. However, if you survive it, and learned what you needed to, then you have something to share.

.

And when it comes to most of the things taught in the PeaceWalker Private Membership, it's smarter to learn from someone else's experience!

.

That said all of this talk of pistol disarms and close calls reminds me of a story:

.

You may recognize it. You may not. Regardless, I think you'll enjoy it and learn a thing or two:

.

Well, I was cutting the rug down at place called 'The Jug' with a girl named Linda Lou. When in walked a man with a gun in his hand and he was looking for you know who.

.

He said, "Hey there, fellow with the hair colored yellow whatcha tryin' to prove?

'Cause that's my woman there and I'm a man who cares and this might be all for you."

.

I said, 'excuse me...'

.

I was scared and fearing for my life. I was shaking like a leaf on a tree. 'Cause he was lean, mean, big and bad, lord pointin' that gun at me.

"Oh, wait a minute, mister I didn't even kiss her. Don't want no trouble with you

And I know you don't owe me, but I wish you'd let me ask one favor from you.."

"Oh, won't you Gimme three steps, gimme three steps, mister? Gimme three steps toward the door? Gimme three steps, gimme three steps, and you never see me know more..."

Recognize It!?

You may recognize those prose in a 70's song that Lynard Skynard sung called by the same name of this emai: Gimme Three Steps.

It's a catchy little tune that sold millions of records, but it also has a few good messages, one of which, don't fool around with a man with a gun. But if you have to, there's a way of doing it that may better your odds of surviving.

And I go over all of them in my latest course:

Essential Pistol Disarms

It's the same way I teach my professional protector clients. You know, folks from the military, law enforcement, Federal Marshal's, private security and the like.

People who don't have the schedule or interest to training at an academy, but they need real world skills to protect themselves, their client, the community and our country.

Here's a Sneak Peek...

Here are just a few of the things you'll find in this program:

~ The most common pistol threats you're likely to encounter. Why you need to know them and how to disarm each.

~ The 4 critical things you must know to be safe when someone approaches you.

~ The three rules that insure your survivability when things go physical. If you don't do these three simple things, your chances of getting shot increase dramatically.

~ The one simple technique that I learned from an Israeli Special Operation Soldier that, when applied properly can disarm a pistol in a blink of an eye.

~ Special drills that will 10x your ability to survive a situation like this if you are ever in one.

~ A concept that is so obvious, yet no one, except for true pros, ever think of it. This one simple rule can literally cost or save the lives of innocent people around you.

There's a lot more in the course that I could highlight. Things that I spent decades of my Life travelling the world over to train with the best there is... Things that I've learned through hard earned experience, mistakes and victories.

...Things that I hope you don't have to encounter. Things that I hope Life doesn't give you the test before the lesson.

You have a unique chance to learn what many never get the chance to.

Some people think,

"Why do I, as a civilian, need to learn these skills?!"

Are you kidding me?! Have you seen what's going on? Have you watched the news this past year? I was told 'off the record' by police officers here in my own city (Grand Rapids, MI) that gun violence here, has increased by over 400%. I hear gun shots every week. (Probably time to move!)

Not that it's new, but the whole world has been turned upside down.

Now I'm not trying to be all doom and gloom. I'm not trying to fill you full of fear or turn you into being paranoid or anything. I am saying be prepared! Dig your well before your thirsty.

I think a better question to ask is why wouldn't you learn these Life saving skills? If not for you then for those you love. Your family, friends, coworkers.

What are the odds of you being threatened by an armed assailant?

What are the odds of you surviving?

What are the odds of you being better equipped to protect yourself? Your family?

We could debate all day about these things.

The bigger question is how safe do you want to feel?

How much control do you want to have over your Life?

How confident are you to protect your family in a situation like this?

I know MY answer.
